User Companion for CATIA Sheetmetal (CD)
This
course will teach you how to design a sheet metal part using
associative feature-based modeling. Standard and user-defined stamped
features can be integrated into the design and the resulting flat
pattern is calculated in accordance with standard bend allowances or
with company specific bend allowance tables. Recommendations for sheet
metal design and expert advice on how to best use the different
workbench tools are provided throughout the course. All theoretical
concepts are illustrated with a minimum of 2 exercises per lesson. User
Companion for CATIA Sheetmetal pre-requisites User Companion for CATIA
Mechanical Design (Getting Started with CATIA V5, Sketcher, Part
Design).
User Companion for CATIA Hybrid Design (CD)
This
product teaches the user how to implement mechanical surfaces in the
design process. After a review of the basics tools of Shape Design, the
user follows an expert process embedding 7 steps from advanced wireframe
creation to a solid part creation using Hybrid Design methodology. The
student will acquire a precise and thorough method to design surfaces at
the expert level; this includes quality analysis, repair methodology,
fillet creation. User Companion for CATIA Hybrid Design complements the
Surface course included in User Companion for CATIA Mechanical Design.
It targets advanced Generative Surface Engineering.
User Companion for CATIA Structural Analysis (CD)
User
Companion for CATIA Structural Analysis describes Structural Analysis
tools using the finite elements method. It allows users to implement
short loop analysis inside of the design process. After an introduction
to the Generative Part Structural Analysis workbench, the Companion
course explains, in a pre-processing lesson, the first steps of CAD
preparation including how to mesh a part, define properties and apply
loads and constraints. The computation lesson explains how to run
analyses and store them. The last lesson covers the post-processing
phase describing the different tools used to display results such as
image generation and video report publishing. It also includes
adaptative methodology for accuracy improvement. CATIA User Companion
for Structural Analysis presents the easiest and most efficient method
for all users of CATIA Generative Part Structural Analysis 1 & 2
products.
User Companion for CATIA Extended Structural Analysis (CD)
Based
on the finite elements method CATIA User Companion for Extended
Structural Analysis describes tools, used in Advanced Structural
Analysis. It covers 3 main areas: assembly analysis, dynamic analysis
and expert analysis provided with the Elfini solver. First lesson. After
an introduction to the Generative Assembly Structural Analysis
workbench, Companion explains the different types of connection
technologies that can be defined between parts in an assembly. Companion
guides the user in his/her choice of a targeted mechanical behavior. A
second lesson covers the advanced tools provided by Elfini Structural
Analysis such as post-processing and analysis data management. A third
lesson focuses on dynamic response solved with Elfini. At the end of
each lesson, the user can assess his/her understanding of the lessons
through different hands-on exercises.
